This is the later (1969) version of the Lionel Lines post-war era Timken "Roller Freight" 6464-500 yellow body box car on a type IV body mold. It is all original and complete. The 1969 version is an unpainted, slightly lighter yellow version compared to the Lionel Timken box car of the late 1950's. It features bar-end metal tab operating knuckle couplers with steel wheels and axles and operating sliding doors. The decals and heat stamped lettering are pristine. It comes in its original checkerboard style Hagerstown, Maryland box with all flaps present and intact. Most collector guides indicate the second production run was only for a single year: 1969. However, there are some 1968 Hagerstown boxes for the Timken, indicating the box car was produced in both 1968 & 1969. The Hagerstown box is a difficult box to locate.
