This is the unique, custom manufactured in 1970 for the Train Collectors Association, Lionel 6464-1970 yellow plastic box car, painted a slightly darker yellow color, on a type V body mold. It is all original and complete. The car features a yellow body and roof, with red lettering. It is fitted with post-war era type bar end metal trucks and operating couplers with the tab uncoupling mechanism, steel wheels and axles. It comes in its original checkerboard style Hagerstown, Maryland box with all flaps present and intact. This car was never catalogued and was never sold as part of a set. Only 1100 were made. The Train Collectors Association began issuing a Lionel manufactured limited edition O gauge car each year beginning in 1967, to commemorate its annual conventions. In 1970, the convention was held in Chicago, Il.
