Commemoration: TCA Western Division hosted the 1979 TCA National Convention in Southern California at the Disneyland Hotel. This Silver Bullion Car was created to celebrate the TCA's 25th Jubilee Anniversary.

Design: Features a dark blue plastic body with white lettering, a simulated silver bullion load inside, and a coin slot on the roof. Because of the coin slot in the roof, the car can also be utilized as a bank.

Specs: Standard O/O-27 scale, operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels/axles. 

Rarity: Only 300 of these cars were produced.

Condition: This car has never seen track time and it has never been out of the box for more than 5 minutes. The box is complete with all flaps and the original plastic window is fully intact. Background: Lionel developed this unique style car using the same body mold it created for its post-war era #3454 Animated Aquarium car. This Bullion Car is just as whimsical, and is not modeled after any actual prototypes. Toy companies like Lionel have famously manufactured collectible "Armored Mint", "Silver Bullion" or "Gold Bullion" boxcars for decades. These toy cars often feature graphics for imaginary banks or government mints and come with fake plastic gold or silver bars inside.
